Corvinus MBA is the only program from Hungary in the top 20.
The Rising Stars 2010 ranking has been published by Findyourmba.com, an online portal for comparing the popular MBA rankings and the performance of fast developing MBA programs from all over the world. The Full-time MBA Program offered by Corvinus University of Budapest has been ranked 7th, ahead of business schools like the Lancaster University, or the Aston Business School in the UK.
The special feature of the Rising Star ranking is its flexible evaluation system that focuses on the recent improvements and results of the business schools and its MBA programs. As the expert of the portal explains, Rising Stars are those who are expected to be among the most successful MBA programs worldwide in the next years. Based on the success of its Executive MBA Program started three years earlier, the Corvinus Faculty of Business Administration launched its Full-time MBA Program in 2008. Now, the majority of the around 30 students of the English language program are enrolled from outside of Hungary. This diversity of the groups, with students from North and South America, or different countries of Europe and Asia, provides the necessary multicultural experiences and skills to the students. The Rising Stars ranking evaluated the excellent infrastructure and the extensive corporate network of the Corvinus School of Management, the department that is responsible for MBA programs at Corvinus, positively as well.
Another aspect of the ranking was the return on investment at the four semesters program. At this measure, the Full-time Corvinus MBA Program performed very well; the proactive teaching methodology with case studies and small group sizes are offered for applicants with not less than only two years of work experience, therefore enabling major career improvements compared to other programs. Graduates of Corvinus MBA are awarded with Bologna-Master degree of Corvinus University and join to the Corvinus MBA Alumni Network.
The number one in the Rising Stars 2010 ranking is the US-based Thunderbird Global Management School that leads in the Global MBA top ten of Financial Times as well. Thunderbird is followed by the French Grenoble Business School as second and the MBA program of the Warsaw University of Technology on the third place.
